When presented with all the colors fo the LGBT Rainbow during pride month, some folx question themselves “Am I queer enough to … (insert action here).”
This question can be born of experience (ie. Someone has invalidated your identity before), self-esteem, confusion, ignorance and/or simply the binary system of gender identity and orientation in which we live.
I’ll be frank.
You are queer enough.
Are you in a het relationship and identify bi?
You’re in.
Are you cisgender and aromantic?
Yep. Queer enough.
Does the word queer feel right to describe your identify, attraction, orientation and/or relationship in any way?
You belong.
Your queerness and inclusion is up to no one except you.
Anyone else’s opinion of you doesn’t count here.
Go forth in your queerness, you beautiful human!
