Do you feel like your once-deep connection with spirit has faded? Whether it was through practices like reiki, tarot, yoga, astrology, your faith, or your relationship with nature, the connection that used to inspire you now feels muted.
You miss the rush of awe and peace that these practices used to bring, and you're left feeling lethargic, cloudy, and disconnected.
Without this spiritual anchor, you fear slipping further into grief, depression, and isolation.
If this continues, old patterns from your eating disorder or PTSD symptoms may resurface, leaving you in that dark space where you once turned to spirit for solace. You don’t want to go back there—and I can help.
Meet Jessi
My name is Jessi, and I am a clinical specialist at Spilove Psychotherapy. Because I am deeply connected to my own spirituality, I will guide you through this quiet, disconnected time. Together, we’ll explore new facets of your spiritual journey, reconnecting you with your soul and spirit in ways that align with your current self. Through trauma-informed approaches like Internal Family Systems (IFS) and yoga, I will help stabilize your depression, clearing the path for a renewed connection with spirit.
Healing from Childhood Abuse
After stabilization, we’ll dive into the deeper work of healing childhood wounds from sexual and physical abuse. The body holds onto trauma, and the aches, pains, and ailments that ramp up when you’re stressed or overwhelmed are reminders that something deeper needs attention. Flashbacks, intrusive thoughts, and hypervigilance keep you stuck, preventing you from finding the safety, intimacy, and trust you long for.
You’re ready to move forward, but your system is still holding onto fear, pain, and heartbreak. You fear missing out on the joys of life if this continues, and worse—you fear spiraling deeper into depression or self-harm.
I specialize in helping survivors of childhood abuse heal by working with the younger parts of themselves that didn’t get what they needed. With my guidance, you’ll develop an inner parent to nurture and protect those wounded parts. Through a blend of Somatic EMDR, IFS, and yoga, we’ll work together to find safety in your body and create new, healthier ways of being.
Navigating Grief and Loss
Trauma is not just physical or emotional—it’s also a profound loss of safety and self. You’ve been through so much, and while you are a survivor, there’s still grief that needs to be honored. You want to feel the heartbreak, the loss, and betrayal, but something is blocking you. You try to connect to your emotions through books, music, or movies, but even when you cry, the tears feel hollow.
Growing up, you didn’t have someone to witness and validate your feelings, and now, you’re struggling to witness them for yourself. You’re stifled by this disconnect and feel stuck. But to move through the grief, you need to feel it fully.
I can help you reconnect to your body and heart, providing the support and safety you need to grieve. Using trauma-informed yoga, IFS, and Somatic EMDR, we’ll work together to access the parts of you that are holding onto pain and give them the space to release it.
Queer Counseling
As a therapist, I believe in honoring each individual’s unique experiences and needs. My work is especially focused on supporting the LGBTQIA+ community, adults, adolescents, and teens.
I incorporate yoga, mindfulness, and a holistic approach to encourage healing not just for the mind but also for the body.
My experience teaching trauma-informed yoga in residential and eating disorder treatment settings has shown me how crucial it is to approach mental health from a body-centered lens. I also conceptualize eating disorder care through a “Health at Every Size” philosophy, emphasizing that true healing involves the body’s natural wisdom.
