It’s been a lifelong journey, hasn’t it? Trying to figure out who you are beneath the weight of your trauma—navigating that pain while longing for a sense of peace and clarity.

You’ve been doing your best to cope, yet it feels like the world keeps spinning out of control. Day after day, the constant undercurrent of anxiety runs through your mind, making it difficult to focus, to find joy, to simply breathe. At times, you’re left feeling sad, confused, and utterly disconnected.

Some days, it feels like the weight of your past is insurmountable. Maladaptive parts of yourself step in, protecting you the only way they know how—making you feel self-conscious and pulling you into struggles with body-image and relationships. It’s as if you’re carrying a burden that’s far too heavy, and no matter how hard you try to shake it off, it lingers, casting shadows on every corner of your life.

Life has handed you an unfair deal, and despite your tireless efforts and unwavering dedication to healing, happiness always seems just out of reach. You’ve been striving for self-love, but it feels elusive—like no matter how far you reach, it slips through your fingers, just beyond your grasp.

Somewhere along the way, you've internalized the blame for the things you’ve been through, believing it’s your fault.

But I’m here to remind you of one powerful truth: it’s not.

Meet Emma

The weight you’re carrying isn’t yours to bear alone. My name is Emma, and I am a clinical specialist at Spilove Psychotherapy. I want you to know that I’m here to understand your trauma wounds, help you heal them, and guide you toward learning how to pour self-love into your own cup.

In our time together, I use humor, connection, and trust to create a supportive space where you can explore the parts of yourself that feel the hardest to accept. I lead with curiosity, helping you understand yourself more deeply, and together we’ll work as a team to accomplish the goals you set out for yourself. I believe therapy is a collaborative process, where you and I move side by side on your journey toward healing.

You Don’t Have to Walk This Journey Alone

As a clinical specialist, I draw from a range of therapeutic approaches to meet you where you are. I use Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help stabilize intense emotions and reduce the severity of symptoms that might feel overwhelming. Once we’ve created that foundation, I incorporate Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI) to help you move toward the life you want to live. I also use Inner Child Work to give voice to the younger parts of you that have been carrying the weight of your trauma for far too long.

While I can’t give you a magic wand to make everything better, I am committed to helping you feel more comfortable in who you are and empowering you to live the life you desire—one filled with confidence, self-acceptance, and integrating your past to find freedom.

Who I Work With

I specialize in providing therapy for members of the LGBTQIA+ community, individuals struggling with personality disorders, adults recently diagnosed with ADHD, those healing from trauma and PTSD, as well as individuals dealing with sports-related anxiety. My approach is also grounded in feminist theory, helping clients challenge societal expectations and embrace their full identity.
